Boating, Water-skiing and Swimming:

Oak Run offers its members an exclusive lake for boating, swimming and water-skiing. Whether it be a relaxing on a sunset cruise around the lake or jumping the wake behind a speed boat, people of all ages and physical ability can enjoy a variety of water sports at Oak Run. A maximum length of 25 feet for boats (except for pontoons) and a maximum speed of 40 mph speed limit are allowed. Lifeguards are on duty at two sand beaches and an olympic-size pool which are open from Labor Day to Memorial Day weekends.


Oak Run residents and property owners enjoy year-round fishing at Oak Run. The Property Owner’s Association has in place a program to stock Spoon Lake with bass, crappie, walleye, and northern. There is a bass tournament in the Spring and another in the Fall. A panfish tournament is also held for children.


Oak Run is home to a challenging 18-hole golf course and club house with a lounge and restaurant. Daily fees and season memberships are very reasonable.


Two lighted courts are available for property owners and guests at Brentwood Park.

Park and Picnic Areas:

Lakeview Park & Beach, Windemere Park & Beach, Hillshore Park, and Brentwood Park provide picnic and playground areas.


Oak Run provides a campground for the members who wish to camp in tents, camping trailers, or motor homes. Electric hookups and a bathhouse are available the campgrounds.

Outdoor Living:

Nature provided a lovely setting for one of Illinois’ most beautiful lakes. An abundance of wildlife amidst the towering oak trees excites Oak Run residents and visitors. Glistening water announces the morning sunrise and a brilliant glow across the lake offers a reflective end to the day.
